Will you be the next leader in the arts? Heaven Gallery and Equity Arts are excited to launch the New Leaders Mentorship program. This program supports emerging art leaders and entrepreneurs in their professional and personal development through a peer-to-peer learning model, specially tailored to the participants’ specific focus and goals. Heaven Gallery and Equity Arts believe in creating wealth-building pathways without incurring debt. Our program teaches both arts administration, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills. Through an equity lens, mentees will learn how to run a nonprofit art gallery using an innovative retail model. The New Leaders Mentorship will be a four-person cohort. The time commitment is a 5-10 hours per week, with a six-month commitment from April to September 2022. A $500 stipend will be provided. Mentees will work in-person at Heaven Gallery in Wicker Park. Applicants with a strong interest in art, non-profit management, social justice, writing, graphic design, curation, and merchandising are especially encouraged to apply. Previous art experience is appreciated but not required. The program can be used towards school credit. To apply, send a resume/CV and a 350-500 word paragraph describing why you would be a good fit for the mentorship and what you hope to gain from the program to francine@heavengallery.com
