LVL3 in partnership with ACRE Residency is proud to present Field Measure, featuring work of recent residents; Ruth Burke, Zack Ingram, and Libbi Ponce. Together, the three artists reference physical or spiritual constructions that underline our relationship with the world around us. Burke’s sculptures, videos, and performances are traces from rituals of care she has established with her long-term human and non-human collaborators. Ingram’s treatment of industrial materials and imagery of Tent Revivals in the American south come from his experience growing up in a hyper-masculine culture. Ponce’s sculptural and hyperreal world-building presents alternative strategies for commanding a new form of vision on and offline. Field Measure is a “How To” in navigating the paths left from the technologies and structures established by our built environments.
